Steve D Fifty Elite Golf Balls
5.0 out of 5 stars Another great value Wilson product flying under the radar

I’m a fan of Wilson golf equipment; it fly’s under the radar and provides great value. So I bought these a year ago just to try them but never got them on the course. 2 weeks ago I threw a sleeve in my bag before my round. I started slow playing my normal balls. By hole 2 I was starting to swing well. Somewhere between hole 3 and 4, I started playing the Elite 50. So the played it the remainder of the round. From hole 2 to 18 I had as good a ball striking going on as anytime in the last 20 years. Just a magical day and the elite 50 was a pleasure to play. Yes, I can feel it is softer then my normal balls and I like that. It does everything reasonably well. So the experience with the 50 got me to try the other big brand with soft golf balls. I played them my last round. I did not have my A+ swing but concluded the competition had nothing on this ball with my swing. I ordered more today and that prompted me to write this review.

For the price, it’s very tough to beat. I have played every ball made and that isn’t an exaggeration. So this is a softball so around the green and I find it nearly perfect. I even tried a dozen Wilson Duo’s but for the price, it’s no contest, I can’t tell the difference. Great distance, good feel and I like the feeling putting. It is consistent and I have absolutely no complaint whatsoever. I have purchased at least 4 dozen, and I’ll order a few more before I try something else. I have not heard any complaints like the Tommy Armour balls, and given the choice between the NXT-S, the Bridgestone E-6, and these, I’ll take the Wilson.
